Fees & Scholarships

Who submits my application to the university?

All applications are reviewed and submitted to universities exclusively by Imma ScholarLink. You upload your documents once, and we handle the rest.

How do I pay for services during this phase?

Payments are currently processed offline via bank transfer or cash deposit and manually confirmed by Imma ScholarLink. Online payment will be introduced in a later phase.

Payment Procedure

1. Service Fee: Pay the Imma ScholarLink service fee based on the selected package.

2. Application & Visa Fees: Pay the non-refundable university application fee and MYR 3,850 visa fee after program confirmation.

3. Visa Approval: Receive the student visa approval and eVAL.

4. Tuition Deposit: After receiving the eVAL, pay the MYR 30,000 tuition deposit before travelling to Malaysia.

Are scholarships available?

Yes. Most partner universities offer merit-based tuition waivers between 20% and 50%, assessed on your academic average and English level. We prepare every eligible student for the assessment at no extra cost.

Application

How do I track my application?

Sign in to your student portal at any time. Your application moves through ten clear stages, from Application Submitted to Enrollment Completed, and you are notified by email at every change.

What documents do I need to prepare?

At minimum: passport, senior high school or bachelor transcripts and graduation certificate, an English proficiency certificate, and passport photos. Some programs also require recommendation letters or a research proposal.

How long does the whole process take?

Typically three to five months from first submission to visa approval. Offer letters take two to six weeks depending on the university; EMGS visa processing takes a further six to eight weeks.

General

Do I need IELTS to apply?

Most bachelor programs require IELTS 6.0 or equivalent. If you do not have a test result, several partner universities accept their own placement test or an intensive English program before the degree starts.

Is Imma ScholarLink an official representative of these universities?

Yes. We hold representative agreements with each partner university listed on this site, and all applications are submitted through official channels.

Visa

How does the student visa work?

Malaysia issues a Student Pass through EMGS. We submit the EMGS application after your offer letter is issued; you complete a health screening at a panel clinic in China. The approval letter (VAL) is required before you fly.

Can my family visit me during my studies?

Yes. Once you hold a valid Student Pass, immediate family can apply for a social visit pass. We can provide the supporting enrolment letter.

Life in Malaysia

What does living in Malaysia cost each month?

Around RM 1,500 to 2,500 in Kuala Lumpur, including on-campus or shared accommodation, food and transport. Outside the capital it is noticeably lower.

Can I work part-time while studying?

International students may work up to 20 hours per week during semester breaks and holidays, in approved sectors, with university endorsement.
